A booster

OK all you techno geeks, of which I am NOT, I understand there is a booster I can put on my cell phone to boost connectivity.
Reason I am asking is that we were in the mountains in Colorado for the summer and cell service was iffy at best. No air card use either.
A fellow that was in the RV park told me to get a booster that you plug into the cigarette liter???
The only time I could use my air card was when we went to town and the cell was OK in just a couple of areas of the park.
Opinions or suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks

Advice on looking for

workamper positions for the coming Fall/Winter months.
When is the best time, if there is such a thing, to start applying or looking for positions for that time period?
TIA..........

RE: Winter season Florida 08-09

I would suggest putting your resume up on the KOA site. I'm not sure of the amount of KOA's in the area you want but it may be worth investigation.
Good Luck......enjoy your journey!!!

RE: What server to use?

resselln, welcome. I would see if your cell service has something compatible in the US. You can get an AirCard to plug into your laptop for internet service. Verizon, AT & T and most other cell providers now have them. The only problem is I think you have to sign for at least a year. I use an aircard and am quite happy with it. Will you be stationary in the US or traveling around?
Don't know if that was any help. I'm sure more techy folks here will be able to provide you some information.

RE: Dish Network Local Channels

Well we have direct TV and we were told that we cannot get local wherever our RV is because their is a federal law stating it depends where your rig is registered.
Has anyone encountered this predicament? We do get the national channels ABC CBS NBC east and west. But since we are in an area for en extended period of time we thought we could get local NOT!!! Glad the antenna works.

RE: Does anyone else suffer from this problem?

Well this is great!!! We are planning our trip, first trip I might add, to Alaska this May and will spend as long as we can there.
You couldn't get me to WalMart the day after Thanksgiving soooooo I guess I'll like Alaska.
Thanks now off to do more research.

Winegard Satellite Dish

We have been full timers for eight months. Traveled 17,000 miles and not one problem with our Winegard unit. We are stationary for the winter in Southern AZ and have a the slightest bit of rain.
It seems the dome is not a true dome at all it has an indentation and moisture collects on it there by affecting transmission.
Anyone else ever encounter this? I am about to call Winegard in the morning with my complaint but wanted expert input from anyone here.
Thanks
